Claus Lykke(E*MBA10) who originally started his career in the IT sector, has a HD-A and an E*MBA from SIMI. Through his career he has acquired great international managerial experience from a number of positions as a.o. director in the packaging and furniture business, most recently as managing director at Hammel Møbelfabrik A/S.

After a considerable turn-around process, which unfortunately ended in bankruptcy, they managed to sell the business, and as the new owners, in accordance with the expectations, wanted to manage the business themselves Claus has been looking for his next challenge since November 2009.

ScanNet A/S is a Danish IT-services company which has existed since 1995 and is focused mainly on Internet service and development. Its range of products include a.o. commercial webhosting, serverhosting, domain registration, shopping systems, payment systems, CMS-systems, ERP-integration, database solutions as well as IT-outsourcing.
 
The reason that Claus states for choosing ScanNet is that it has now reached a point in its development where it needs new input in terms of managerial and strategic character to professionalize and take the business to a new level.

The challenges Claus will face in relation to his old are in many ways identical, with one exception being that ScanNet is not in a crisis but delivers solid results. It will be a great challenge though to succeed in the process of succession as he will be taking over from the 3 original founders and owners.

What is really interesting for Claus is that he is now back in the industry where he started his career, in a company with a very healthy economy and a huge scope for further development.
 
Ever since Claus finished his E*MBA he has taken great advantage of the knowledge and tools which he was taught at SIMI, especially the strategy development and leadership dimension which has especially given him positive experiences and results.
