SAA Leadership Groups (SL Groups)

Aim and Idea

The aim of the SL concept is to enhance the continuous learning experience of SIMI Alumni, personal networking possibilities and understanding of leadership management.

The SL Groups are created as a natural extension of completed education at SIMI. The idea is to establish a forum for discussing, in confidentiality, subjects of joint interest with peers and by using tools learned at SIMI built upon (each others) professional and personal experiences, thereby making each participant a better leader and more successful.

As our first partner in this, SAA has chosen the well-known leadership-consulting firm, Summit Consulting, with long-time SIMI facilitator Thomas Djernes as responsible partner. Please refer to www.summitconsulting.dk.

Concept

SAA covers the cost of a SIMI facilitator to help with the process of establishing the new group, a. o. by exposing level of commitment, ambitions, frames of meeting. SAA also offers administrative help in the initial three meetings (sending out invitations, booking of meeting room at SIMI, arranging food, facilitating speakers etc.). It is expected that the SL Groups be self-propelled hereafter. A meeting frequency of three times a year is anticipated, but that is up to the groups to decide.

There will be an initial fee of DKK 2.000 to cover food a. o.

To join

The initial SL1 Group was established on General Management (November 2006).

SL2 was established May 2007.

SL3 was established September 2008.
